123 lbs. Tashawn Ward – Taino Boxing had no opponent.
125 lbs. Julianna Davis – UConn vs. Rianna Travaglini – Bare Bones

132 lbs. Ian Garcia – SECC vs. Brian Zayas – Beat the Streets
Winner by UD – Zayas. It appeared both fighters ended up with a bloody nose
141 lbs. Aljandro Paulino – Whaling City vs. Carlos Colon – Boxing in Faith
Winner by TKO – Paulino at 1:36 of the 1st round. Colon received the count in the 1st and 2nd round. I was very impressed with Paulino’s talent in the ring. He was awarded the “Best Boxer Award” and I seconded that!!!

178 lbs. Jennifer Johnson – Bare Bones vs. Tiffany McFadden – Ring One. Winner by TKO, 2nd round1:44 – McFadden.
178 lbs. Derrick Wagoner – West Point vs. Charles Blackwell – EIR. Winner by SD – Blackwell
201 lbs. Yuri Panferov – C&B Boxing vs. Isaac Reyes – Whitley’s Boxing. Winner by SD – Reyes
201+ lbs. Stephen Moss – Whitley’s vs. Spencer Welton – West Point. Winner by SD – Moss.
I saw some pro fighters on hand. Anthony Laureano, Chordale Booker, Shakha Moore, Addy Irizarry, Marlon Starling and Jose Rivera were in the crowd supporting the amateur fighters.
The outstanding team was awarded to Whitley’s Boxing. Boxing Northeast wanted to say “CONGRATS!!!” to all the winner of the Western New England Golden Gloves thus far.
