The second round of the 89th Annual National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions took place on May 3 at the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA. Boxing Northeast would like to say "CONGRATS!!!" to all the winners from the New England area.

The results from the New England Golden Gloves team are as follows:

114 lb - Felix Parrilla, from New Haven, CT, won a 4-1 split decision over Diego Alvarez of the Rocky Mountain team.

141 lb - Efren Nieves, from New Haven, CT, lost a 3-2 split decision to Wilfredo Adelar of the Washington, DC team.

165 lb - Yamarco Guzman, from Lawrence, MA, lost a 4-1 split decision to Joseph Hicks of the Michigan team.

201 lb - Hampton Miller, from Waterbury, CT, lost a 3-2 split decision to Matthew Mollet of the Nevada team.

201+ lb - Fernely Feliz, from Danbury, CT, won by RSC in the third round over Angel Rivera of the Pennsylvania team. EndFragment
