VMS Management Inks Talented Amateur Boxer, Calixto Cruz of Springfield, Massachusetts to a Manageme
Springfield, Massachusetts - Vinny Scolpino of VMS Management, Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of another New England fighter, lightweight Calixto Cruz of Springfield, Massachusetts to an exclusive management contract.
Cruz will be making his professional debut on October 20, 2018, at Foxwoods Resort and Casino against another fighter making his pro debut, Joseph Santana of Providence, Rhode Island on the undercard of Jimmy Williams vs. Enver Halili.
Cruz's amateur record consists of 63 wins and 8 losses. Cruz has previously won the silver mittens and silver gloves. Cruz is a NY metro tournament belt holder and NY Metro Champ. Cruz took bronze in the nationals in California in 2016, took silver in the 2016 and 2017 Golden Gloves.
Calixto Cruz: "I feel great about turning pro. I have dreamed about becoming a professional boxer. We have developed a great team and we are working hard to build a name in the sport of boxing".
